Children with Dyslexia
This paper provides a summary of the article, Kindergarten prevention of dyslexia: does training in phonological awareness work for everybody? by Schneider et al. (1999), which appeared in the September/October edition of the Journal of Learning Disabilities. The paper also gives a critique of the article, and shows how the findings of the article can be applied in a kindergarten classroom, in particular the need for special attention to be given to dyslexic children within this particular context.
