Understanding and Evaluating Gender Policy for the Canadian International Development Agency
This paper will examine international policy in Canada. By assessing the feminist nature of CIDAs role in creating equality for both men and women, we see a large focus on creating greater empowerment and rights for women in a traditionally patriarchal society. In this manner, CIDA does promote gender equality, but the main focus of their policy making objectives are to work for womens rights in Canadian government and societal awareness.
